Tokyo Skytree Christmas Market admission

Amazingly, the Tokyo Skytree Dream Christmas is free to visit – however, to see the Christmas trees at the top of the Skytree in the Tembo Gallery on floor 350, you will need to buy a Tokyo Skytree admission ticket >

We bought a ticket to go the Tokyo Skytree with Klook to see the city sunset and sun go down over Mt Fuji in the distance and then visited the free Christmas market on level four afterwards.

The nearest station is Tokyo Skytree Station on the Tobu Skytree line (right below the Christmas Market) or Oshiage Station about 500 meters away, on the Hanzomon, Asakusa and Keisei Oshiage Line.

It is also within walking distance of the Asakusa neighbourhood too which is where we were staying and walked from. You might like our guide to things to do in Asakusa, Tokyo >

What to expect

This year’s (2026) Christmas Market at Tokyo Skytree is hopefully the biggest yet with over 10 stalls, plus a huge seated area for food and drink in the middle, with heaters.

Tokyo Skytree Dream Christmas Market 2024

On opening night last year, we saw a singing Santa plus a giant Christmas tree – the Tokyo Skytree mascots including Sorakara-chan also had their own festive fairy light statues.

There were lots of great photo opportunities around the plaza / Christmas market including a LED tunnel, giant polar bear (very popular with school girls) plus giant Christmas nutcracker soldiers.

Food and drink / prices at Tokyo Skytree Christmas 2026

All of the food kiosks were themed with decorations and it looks like a traditional European / German style Christmas market – very alpine!

Some of the Christmas food and drink stalls at Tokyo Skytree we saw and tried include:

  • Bread stew stall
  • Sausage / German hotdog stalls
  • Christmas meat platters
  • Churros
  • French fries / fish and chips
  • Soup stall
  • Hot chocolate stall
  • German beer stall
  • Mulled wine / Gluhwein kiosk with Christmas mugs
  • Stollen and Christmas gifts stall

We thought the prices were a little expensive like 2,800 Yen for four kinds of sausage or 1,200 Yen for a 300ml (half a pint) of German beer – but hey, the Christmas market is free entry so you can’t begrudge this.

All in all, the Tokyo Skytree Christmas Market is always worth a visit (but note it is a lot smaller than say the main Tokyo Christmas Market.
