What to expect at Tokyo Dome at Christmas 2025
We visited Tokyo Dome’s Christmas lights, domes and Sparkle Tunnel the week of opening last year (in 2024).
Whilst quite small compared to say Tokyo Christmas Market or the Tokyo Marunouchi Christmas lights, it is quite nice to visit if you are already in the area or to combine with other Christmas markets in Tokyo.

The setting is quite nice, although not exactly serene as you can hear the louds screams of the rollercoaster thundering on by at Tokyo Dome City Attractions theme park.
For us, the best bit by far was the Wonder Snow Tree that snows (well has bubbles) every 15 minutes and lights up in a carnival of colors accompanied by Christmas music.
Switched on every evening between 5pm and midnight (ends 28 February 2026 – TBC), there are several main Christmas attractions / zones at Tokyo Dome Christmas Snow City.
Please note the below images and attractions were based on our Christmas 2024 – there may be changes / variations in 2025 but will give you a good idea of what to expect.

Sparkling Tunnel
Like walking through a snow globe, this is a long walkway of lights with sparkly decorations and the odd glitterball.

Snowflake Dome
Located on the lower level of the Tokyo Dome plaza next to the cute carousel, the Snowflake Dome is equipped with a roof mounted camera. Walk into a winter wonderland and use the tablet on the table to take a snowy aerial snap of you and your friends / family.

Then use the QR code on the tablet to retrieve your free festive snaps – although when we visited Tokyo Dome, the QR code led to a dead page. So let’s hope they get that fixed or Father Christmas will not be impressed!

Wonder Snow Tree
Surely one of the biggest Christmas trees in Tokyo in 2024 (albeit artificial), this was the best bit of the Tokyo Dome Christmas Snow City this year.

Comprising thousands of LED lights, every 15 minutes, the Tokyo Dome Christmas tree springs into life with a musical light display which culminates in a snow shower (well, smoke filled bubbles) raining down from the sky from massive bubble projectors.
This seemed to be the top seasonal selfie spot at Tokyo Dome this Christmas and the kids loved running around popping the bubbles!

Reflecting Dome
Our final thing to do at Tokyo Dome this Christmas – visit the Reflecting Dome. This to us was a bit more ‘meh’ than magical.
It is basically a photo spot with a few mirror balls one of which you can spin. But the effect doesn’t really work and it is kind of hidden away on level 2 near Tokyo Dome Hotel.

Don’t forget – we have this regularly updated guide to all the best Tokyo Christmas lights, markets and events >
