Philosopher’s Walk / Philosopher’s Path

Kichi Kichi Omurice

Phil meets up with actress and TV host Shizuka Anderson to visit this small restaurant owned by quirky chef Motokichi Yukimura.
Motokichi specializes in making and serving Japanese-style omurice (omelette rice) in a theatrical style, which has gained him popularity on social media!
What did Phil eat?
Phil and Shizuka ate omurice which is a dish consisting of a soft omelette laid over fried rice, topped with a demi-glace sauce.
Kichi Kichi is a very popular Kyoto restaurant and they have recently implemented a new booking system in early 2024.
You can only book on the day you wish to visit, and you will need to visit the restaurant in person at the following times to scan a QR code to book.
- Lunch time bookings start from 9am
- Dinner time bookings start from 1pm.

Gion neighbourhood, Kyoto

Bamboo Forest at Fushimi Inari Taisha (we think)
