How to get to the Tokyo Sanrio Fukoku Friendly Forest

The Sanrio Fukoku Friendly Forest is located on the ground floor of Tokyo Fukoku Seimei building, across from Hibiya Park (one of Tokyo’s best parks and near to Ginza).

Sanrio Fukoku Friendly Forest is located a 1 minute walk away from Uchisaiwaicho Station on the Mita line (take exit A6), or an 8 minute walk away from Shimbashi Station.

Tokyo Fukoku Seimei building

You can find Tokyo’s Fukoku Seimei building and the Sanrio Fukoku Forest located in its reception area on Google Maps here >

Once you arrive at the building, you’ll see the forest set-up in an area right next to the main reception area on the ground floor (although the stamp trail runs across several floors, more on this shortly).

It is an office building but you are allowed to explore the lower levels where there are several food courts and chain restaurants.

Please note we didn’t spot any Sanrio directional signage outside the building but you will eventually find it if you head to the ground floor and look around for the front desk.

What is the Sanrio Sanrio Fukoku Friendly Forest?

Opened in 2024, this is a free Tokyo attraction suitable for all the family, plus ‘big’ kids like us and cool Kawaii hunters.

In the very unlikely setting of a Tokyo office block, the Sanrio Fukoku Friendly Forest has a huge tree as its centerpiece (plastic not real) plus all the Sanrio characters below it Kuromi, Poccacho and Keroppi.

You can sit under the tree plus there are several themed forest areas to relax in. That said, as it is in an office building, we spotted several business meetings going on in the forest which seemed a little surreal.

However, the star of the show here is Hello Kitty. As well as the serene forest setting, there are two HUGE cabinets of Hello Kitty plushies / toys, all dressed up in outfits to represent different Japanese cities and prefectures.
